Morning Glory: Poetry And Reflections
Morning Glory is a magical journey that will delight and inspire you. It is an invitation to love's presence in your life. Nicola's expressive poetry is beautifully intertwined with timely spiritual reflections that will touch your heart. With a relentless desire to dive deep within and speak from the heart, there is a purity, honesty and sincerity that adds refreshing depth to this artistic collection.
Throughout Morning Glory, there is a deepening connection to the Divine that blossoms and flourishes prolifically. The flowing energy of Spirit spills over to brilliantly infuse this outpouring of love.
Morning Glory is a glorious gift from the soul that you will treasure every day.
Morning Glory reminds me of early school years in Jamaica. I have the fondest memories of walking over in single file with hundreds of other girls for our morning prayers. We would come together as a community, not just in song and worship, but also through friendship, laughter and play. I feel so much appreciation to St. Andrew's Preparatory, Junior and High schools for lasting, first memories and the most incredible setting for a free spirit to dwell! This precious time in my childhood anchored my choice to start each day in celebration and praise.
Morning Glory also symbolizes times in my life, when I have woken up feeling open, at peace and surrounded by love. In those blissful, early moments, I often felt inspired to record what I was feeling on paper. The words seemed to pour forth effortlessly, with a life of their own.
Over the years, the practice of starting my day on a positive note, has taken root and deepened. The morning opens to Spirit and a dawning appreciation for what surrounds me. I am learning more and more, to see the beauty of life reflected everywhere, even in the unlikeliest of places.
Nature presents a glorious backdrop for me to share the freshness of each new day. Looking outside, I witness the sun rising and illuminating the woods in my back yard. I love how the darkness makes way for the light. I love how the black skies surrender to the rising dawn. I listen to the cheery and sometimes noisy bird song by the feeders and it fills my heart with great pleasure. I enjoy watching the “dance” of birds, as they flit in and out of the trees, and then soar off to the skies above. I love how all of this resonates in my heart and inspires me.
A couple years ago, I felt a gradual shift when I wrote. Sometimes, I would wake with a single word or phrase in mind. There was a subtle impulse to let something come forth. I began to follow this feeling, to see where it took me. Many times, the choice of language surprised me. There was now an added and distinct feeling of curiosity and adventure when I would write. It felt like I was turning the pages to an unknown part of a story. I felt eager to get it all down, so I too could know how it was going to end!
As I opened more to Spirit coming through, it felt like the most natural thing in the world to share what I was writing with others. Simultaneously, I was writing articles and “journal entries.” These all seemed to contain simple spiritual lessons from my own personal experience. In them, I would explore issues that would arise in my daily life; things that usually had the capacity to knock me out of a good feeling place! I turned the spotlight on myself, so to speak, leaving no stone unturned and no muck behind!
With the idea of a book in mind, I felt drawn to combine my poems with select journal entries from the same time period. I trust that this weaving gives a broader picture to my words and life experience.
I hope that my words and my desire to embody truth even when it feels difficult, inspires you in someway to rise up and greet the morning with a smile on your face and a smile in your heart!
I had not felt drawn to self-publish before now, but something changed internally and it is now feeling like the most delightful and natural adventure! Initially, I had the belief that if a publisher did not invest in me, then the work was not worth putting into print.
The reality is, that I share my articles, poems and reflections all of the time and am always encouraged by the support and feedback that I receive. The reality is, that, nice as it may be, I do not need an outside force to validate or reflect my worth. I can do that for myself.
We are all deserving and worthy in our own right and we can celebrate and see that beauty in ourselves.
Morning Glory has served as a catalyst for further opening up and sharing my feelings and my heart. The rewards are countless, immeasurable and priceless. This feels bigger than my simply writing a book. It feels like the most precious journey that continues to unfold magnificently before my eyes. This adventure has invoked my willingness to “back” myself; trusting that I will indeed take this project to completion. I now have a real value of me, my writing and the direct transmission from Spirit.
"You have written a wonderful book. Your poems touch the hearts and souls of the reader and take them on magical journeys. I think the name "Morning Glory" is beautiful and reflect the gems that are found in the book."

Deep Love and Endless Beauty
“From letting go, to petals unfurling, to blossoming, to full bloom, Nicola Karesh allows her spirit to whisper through her beautiful book, Morning Glory. Allowing us to walk with her as her heart remembers and her soul unfolds, Nicola’s eloquent words gently lead us back to a place of deep love and endless beauty.”

"Nicola Karesh’s exquisite, heart-felt Morning Glory is a beautifully written book of poetry that is also filled with pearls of inspirational reflection. The book offers deep spiritual sustenance from start to finish. But I found myself using it as a “daily oracle” in a sense. Just by opening the book at any page on any given day, I was always uplifted by the perfect, timely message to ground me if I had been knocked off center, to point me in the right direction if I was confused, or to simply provide comfort if I needed support of any kind…no matter what. This is a special book. Don’t miss out on the treasures that await you within its pages."
