I have written a detective-romance novel called, “Dangerous Destiny.” The plot unravels at a nightclub near Miami Florida. There is the dangerous and exotic mix of the Caribbean, Cuban, Haitian, and South American The town of Hollywood Florida is not far away and is fancifully used for the real Hollywood California.
There is danger when, a shooting takes place during a concert at the club. There is a killer on the loose called the bulldog killer. Then there is destiny when, the young restless people from the near by nightclub collide with the adult local celebrities (actors and musicians). There are love affairs, flings, and sexual escapades. The characters all come together to make a delicious concoction, a cocktail of destruction, sex, and sizzle.
The main characters (Bette Baker (Black), Marcus Banks, Candice Banks, Macy Jones, Justine Edwards, Shalease Banks, G-Thang, and Byron Brown) converge on the two main locales, the music studio and the nightclub. Soon the club owner and Byron Baker (also the mayor of Hollywood Village) begins to fantasize about his club performers and has a slew of wet dreams about the club goers, which eventually all come true in his office.
The club is the meeting place for the celebrities. Though the celebrities in their twenties are barely old enough to drink they become intertwined with dangerous criminals, actors, musicians, and models. There are many interludes and sensual situations of sex, lovemaking and mayhem.
First there is a shooting at the club and Bette Baker is injured. Then Marcus Banks the actor is accused of being involved. G-Thang the rapper is also a suspect. The singer Shalease is put in mortal danger by the shooting and several similar incidents happen at her concerts.
Macy Jones the model is close friends with Shalease who is married to Marcus Banks. Macy is rumored to be having an affair with Marcus and Shalease is rumored to be having an affair with G-Thang the rapper.
Justine Edwards is a reporter and photographer who captured the whole shooting on camera and shows proof that G-Thang and Marcus Banks are innocent. Then Macy goes to visit G-Thang in jail and marries him behind bars. G-Thang is set free with Justine’s help and Bette is found alive and well.
