In 2010 I finally revised and notated my first string quartet based on one of my 1998 jazz pieces; yet the first movement has a decidedly Bartok flavor with a touch of jazzy blues overtones. The long second movement is in 3 different tempos beginning with a Celtic flavor and including two very jazz-like sections of advanced jazz harmony with bluesy overtones. Thus the name: "SQ BLUE" or String Quartet #1!
