An easy read with thought-provoking words and images that make understanding the need for communication poignant and necessary in today's ultra busy world.
So many childhood anxiety and fears and worries can be alleviated early in life by simply remembering to talk and to “see” your child. To engage your son or daughter in dialogue that tells them you care and see who they are.
As a woman who developed chronic anxiety and panic attacks due to being an unseen child; it would have made all the difference in the world to have been seen and noticed by my parents.
When I developed this book it was to encourage the child to speak up and say what she/he needed in order to be heard and recognized but it also turned out to be a book for parents. A reminder if you will. It is never too late to learn and to give hope.
Upon reading this book my Grandson Kayle (age 7) stated this, after I asked him what the story meant to him; “It’s like a reminder for parents. And it also tells the kids they can talk.”
Out of the mouths of babes…..
This simple concept, put into action, would have produced monumental differences in my life and I believe had I been seen by my parents in my childhood I would not have suffered for decades with an anxiety condition.
May we all see better and live better for our children!
