I have a shelf full of cookbooks, and this is THE BEST! by D. Howell
Living near the coast, we eat a lot of seafood, and this book has the BEST recipes! "Hugh's Crab Stew" recipe is worth the price of the book -- even people who claim they don't like seafood LOVE it, and people who like seafood RAVE over it! My family usually balks at trying new foods, but if I tell them I got the recipe from this book, they are eager to try it, and always want more. In fact, my teenaged son has begun cooking using this book, because I wasn't trying the recipes fast enough to suit him!
