Available in 8.5 x 8.5" soft back or for eBook devices.

'Twas the night after Christmas
and all over the world,
happy children were sleeping...
every boy, every girl.

Snuggled up to their earlobes
with new toys held tight,
They dreamt of their lists
for the next Christmas night.

While down by the fire,
amongst wrappings and ribbon,
a tree's soft glow
was this last Christmas vision.

Though warm on the inside,
it was cold on the out.
Jack Frost was still working
to keep winter about.

The Night After Christmas is a very charming children’s book that is an extension of the Clement C. Moore classic, The Night Before Christmas. In this book, we learn what it’s like for the elves and Mrs. Claus to be back in the North Pole waiting for Santa’s arrival. When a blustery snow storm blows through everyone is worried that Santa might not make it back this time.
But with Mrs. Claus’s confident remarks the elves are reassured and before they know it, Santa has arrived! The book goes on to describe Santa’s grand welcome home and gives us a little peek into what it’s like for Santa once he disembarks that sleigh and slumps into his easy chair.

The Night After Christmas follows the rhyme scheme of the original book. The words and phrases are catchy and unique and put the reader in the holiday spirit. The illustrations of the book are nicely done and some pages are cute enough for framing!

Kora & Logan enjoyed this book. They are so excited for Christmas and reading this book practically had them jumping up and down. The book prompted many questions like, “How many more days until Christmas?” and “Is that Santa?” (pointing to a picture of Santa resting with his hat off) and “Is that a girl elf?! I didn’t know their were girl elves!”

If you have little ones who enjoy The Night Before Christmas, Michael Hebler’s The Night After Christmas will be sure to make their eyes sparkle and their hearts happy.

There are so many stories about all the exciting things that happen while Santa and his crew are getting ready for their busiest night of the year. Have you ever wondered what happens after that last toy has been delivered? There are rarely any tales told about that . . . until now. "The Night After Christmas" was a children's stage play transformed into a children's Christmas book by the same author Michael Hebler and illustrator Anita Driessen.

Inspired by Clement C. Moore's "The Night Before Christmas", this book tells in rhyming text the story of how Santa returns to the North Pole, exhausted but full of joy, while children around the world are yet again sleeping contently. Our 6 year old son recalls Moore's story very well, since it is a tradition for our family to read this book before bedtime every Christmas Eve, but our 3 year old twins do not. To them "The Night After Christmas" was just a nice story about Santa. It will make much more sense to them when we reread this book at bedtime on Christmas night. Both the adults and the children enjoyed the story and the textured artwork.

To learn more about this book, visit . You can purchase this book in an 8-1/2" square soft cover right on the website for $8.99, as well as on and . "The Night After Christmas" makes the ideal bedtime story for Christmas night and we will be adding it to our annual Christmas traditions.

Did you ever think about what Santa does the Night after Christmas???

Well here is a cute book all about Santa’s night after Christmas.

This story extends the original Clement C. Moore classic that has Santa returning to the North Pole after completing his busiest night of the year.

This story was originally written and recited for a children’s Christmas variety show. After the theatre department was bombarded with phone calls requesting a copy of the book this story came from, that’s when it was decided to transform the tale into a family-friendly storybook.

This book is so colorful and whimsical. I loved to see the wonderful rhymes like in the Night Before Christmas book. We loved to see Mrs. Clause and to see all the cute smiling elves.

You can check the book out and see some of the pages for yourself:

We will now add this GREAT book to our list of favorite Holiday books.

The story is by MICHAEL HEBLER

Illustrations are done by Anita Driessen

This storybook is recommended for believers of all ages.
Now we will have a new traditon of reading The Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve and then we will read The Night After Christmas, Christmas night.
