The Bride Spy

Hannah Nelson, a native New Zealander, has been accepted to DePaul University in Chicago. She had been living in Portland, Oregon for several years, and is relieved to be away from the questions surrounding the sudden disappearance of her close friend, Emma. While at her dance studio, housed in an historic building in downtown Chicago, she is drawn to a painting of a handsome man from 1865, and as she looks into his emerald green eyes, her world goes black.

Christopher Butler is in Lincoln’s War Cabinet and working with his close friend, Clayton Madden to keep the President safe. Upon returning from Lincoln’s historic Gettysburg Address, he hears a strange noise in his barn, and enters to find a beautiful woman unconscious on the straw strewn floor. He realizes quickly she is the key to his sanity and he will never let her go.

As Hannah navigates her new world and comes to terms with the fact she has been transported back in time, will she allow Christopher to love her? Will she find answers about what happened to Emma in her own circumstances, and will she find out if her presence in the past will help the state of the future?

Coffee Time Romance Reviews
Hannah, a New Zealand native, is thrown into the past and instantly is drawn into her new world and all of the differences that her new life holds. From chamber pots to hoop skirts, she quickly comes to term with just how good different can be!

Chris is a modern day man in his own time, but when this lovely Kiwi comes into his life, he is forced to re-evaluate what is truly important to him. Chris has always been the man in charge, but what will he do when Hannah pushes her Sir Knight’s buttons at every turn?

The Bride Spy is the story of Hannah and Chris, two very unlikely lovers, not only do their personalities clash but a passion begins to simmer that nothing can stop from roaring into a full blown love that no one saw coming! Chris feels that he must protect Hannah no matter how little protecting his love thinks she needs, but what will he do to convince her this is not some flight of fancy, but rather a love that knows no ending?

This was a fun read from beginning to end, new meets old with often hilarious out comes. From Hannah’s reaction to a chamber pot, and Chris’ reactions to some of her more interesting phrases, The Bride Spy shows how different can be good and love triumphs over all. This was a sweet romance with plenty of touching moments, but just enough actions to keep things fun! Over all, a great third book in this series that brings back old characters and opens the door for future releases!
