Michael Ruggles is excited to discover an Intragalactic Metro Station run by his next door neighbors, the Lemurs. But there’s trouble on the Milky Way Metro.  Ride along with Mike and Mrs. Lemur in the space shuttle Solis as they try to figure out what’s wrong.  Join the station's engineer as he ponders what to do about Mr. Lemur's uncertain future. And who is BuBaBeggles anyway?

Enjoy the story. Then turn to the last chapter for some Hare Brained Science.  Try the ‘Egg in the Bottle’ experiment.  Now  you can decide for yourself what is science and what is science fiction.

Excerpt

Below, the Lemurs were coming out of the garage. They were in a hurry. Mr. Lemur turned and spoke to the door.
Mike told his super heroes, “Talking to doors is definitely not a normal thing to do.”
Mr. Lemur went back into the garage and Mrs. Lemur walked towards the fence at the back of the yard. She rubbed her hand on the fence and a gate appeared.
Mike rubbed his eyes. “How could a gate appear out of nowhere?” he asked the super heroes.
Mrs. Lemur opened the gate and went through to the cliff on the other side.
Mike couldn’t stand it any longer. He just had to find out what was going on.
He ran down the staircase and hurried outside. It was getting dark.
Mike couldn’t see the Lemurs but he could hear a humming noise coming from their garage. As he crept closer, the humming got louder. Then there was a whining sound. Then there was a muffled, crashing noise.
Mike ran towards the garage in time to see a frightened Mrs. Lemur run through the backyard gate, across the yard and through the open garage door.
Mike cautiously followed her.
The garage was filled with a haze that smelled a little like oranges, lemons and skunk mixed together.
At the back of the garage, lights blinked outward. They looked like a direction signal moving away through the back wall.
In the middle of the floor was a person sized cube. Mrs. Lemur stood next to the cube, frantically touching and pressing its outer surface.

Professional Reviews

An Engaging Tale!
The Milky Way Metro is an engaging story with an intriguing premise. I was particularly fond of the Lemurs - the Mr. and Mrs. - and who, despite their unusual appearance, proved to be most amiable to the inquisitive Mike. The story is written in a buoyant, fluid style, punctuated with attractive illustrations, which rhyme well with the narrative of the story.
I hope B. D. Bossidy offers us additional glimpses of the Milky Way Metro.
