In the second volume, the cadets discover parallel civilizations and acquire many powers in strange planets: Resijus, where the cadets learn to produce ugly skin diseases and the Art of Growing Old; Lurodas, where they gain the power of levitation; GabAlph, where they learn to produce diamonds and other gems by squeezing regular stones with their bare hands. They find a hidden structure that belonged to Bert Nostcal in the past.
Ada is found guilty of destroying several highly specialized grenades that belonged to the Herptile civilization and is sentenced to twenty days in a platform. Unbeknownst to all, she is replaced by her robone (robot-clone). During the calculations to deflect the trajectory of AquaSoil, the cadets noticed that the planet is getting its First Light as it begins to come out of the cosmic-dust cloud that had enveloped it.
During a new visit to planet Amb-40, the explorers discover a parallel civilization, the Mayevils. While in a cave, the cadets and their companions eat small peach-like fruits that give them the power to transform themselves into dust, vapor, wind, etc. or into any kind of animal. When Evil Sprites and Mayevils confront the expedition, Gab and Alph (two Master Watchers), wielding swords of fire, counterattack and the evil forces run for their lives. “What exactly are these two Master Watchers?” becomes a question that haunts Yah, Ada and Sid.
The cadets visit other worlds, “Resijus,” where they are taught the fine Art of Growing Old (AGO) and a way of producing ugly skin diseases; “Ircela,” where they confront two primitive civilizations. Upon their return to the Audacious they meet a new character, Erlakee —a colonel in the Herptilian army— who deceives them. “Lurodas,” where they visit a volcano and gain the power of levitation; “Desnyt,” where they find a group of friendly forces from the Principality of Uradek and also a house used by Bert Nostcal in the past; “GabAlph,” where they discover diamonds, gems and obtain new powers; “Uquet,” a rare planet that captures other planets to adorn its immense surface.
After deflecting AquaSoil with two explosions, they return home. They face many adventures and meet new friends and foes. They’ll be back to see the big collision with a planet that will force AquaSoil into orbit around a young star.

“You know something Yah; you are not telling me the whole story. I know you are not. Please, tell me who these stranded forces were,” continued d’Nor.
“They said they belonged to the… Herptilian civilization…”
Yah was interrupted by d’Nor who, raising her voice, asked, “Members of the Herptilian civilization requested YOUR help?!”
“Well, they said one of their spaceships was practically stranded due to a faulty valve. This woman, Erlakee, asked for one valve and I decided to give it to them, so they could continue on their way,” answered Yah.
“Tell me why one of our valves would fit their spaceships,” persisted d’Nor.
“That’s what I said too, but she informed me that they had stolen our specifications and that the valve would fit,” answered Yah.
“My dear Yah,” continued d’Nor with a softer tone, “they have stolen a valve from you. The Herptiles ‘pretended’ to be stranded to get you to hand over an incredible piece of engineering without having to fire a single shot for it. Those valves cost thousands of Gold Comets and all you’ve got for the valve is a couple of fake knives, sixty steaks, and a pin which may be the only thing of real value you got from this woman; what was her name?”
“Erlakee,” answered Yah.
