When Victoria Rider arrives a her boss Daniel Ashburn's home office, her only fear is that he's going to fire her. Instead of Daniel terminating her position he hands her the opportunity of a lifetime both inside the boardroom and the bedroom.

He chuckled and the warmth of his voice resonated through her like hot chocolate on a cold day. “I’m not firing you, Tori.” His cell phone rang from behind him and he reached across the desk, picking it up on the third ring. “Daniel here.” Almost immediately a frown crawled across his face and he glanced at Tori. “Yeah, Stephen. Hang on just a sec.” He covered the phone with his hand and turned to her. “It’s my lawyer. I need to take this, but we’re not done. Make yourself comfortable. I’ll just be a few minutes.”

Still too shocked by her sudden promotion she could do little more than nod as he walked toward the side door leading into the house.

For several minute she remained in place as the reality of the situation slowly took root. Not only would her new position give her the chance to get to know him better, it would also bring a much needed salary increase. Maybe she’d finally be able to afford to move out of her mother’s house.

Now restless, she stood and began to assess the room. With a couch against one wall and a large flat screen TV mounted to the other,

Daniel’s office definitely had a homey touch. Though what impressed her most was the large wall of books located behind his desk. She never pegged Daniel Ashburn for a reader, but other than seeing him as her sexy and intimidating boss she knew little of the man.

During the past three years she’d heard all sorts of rumors surrounding his private life. Tales of him being gay, to having a taste for kinky sex had made the water cooler gossip. She certainly hoped he wasn’t gay, though she had to admit that the idea of watching him with another man made her hot. Then again, she might be just as turned on by kink, depending on the type.

So what kind of books did her boss like to read? Enjoying the smell and feel of the leather bound novels, she brushed a hand over the titles stopping to pick out the random one now and then to peruse.

Classics made up most of the books on his shelf along with business books and mystery/horror stories, but one title in particular caught her attention. A Siren’s Call was not only a romance story she’d read several months back, but an erotic tale of BDSM. What in the world is Daniel doing with a title like that? She glanced over her shoulder at the door and tried to picture her boss as her Master instead. Instant warmth pooled low in her belly at the idea. If only! She gave her mental wanderings a shake. I’m sure he has a perfectly good reason for owning a book like this. She started to pull the title from the shelf. At first it appeared as if the book was stuck, then the top of it tipped toward her. A section of the bookcase began to move, opening to reveal an entryway to a hidden room.

She glanced from the book to the doorway and back. How 007!

Curiosity now coursed through her veins and she stepped through the opening into the hidden room. The first thing she noticed was the scent of leather. Using her fingers, she skimmed the wall and found the light switch. In an instant illumination from a combination of recessed lighting and wall sconces flooded the room. The soft glow revealed a world she never expected to find.

Erotic paintings and various pieces of bondage equipment covered the slate gray wall and the floor appeared to be a dark Berber carpet. A sitting area, complete with a leather couch, coffee table, recliner and another flat screen TV filled the corner to her right. All of that would have been kinky enough if it hadn’t been for the human size cross covered in leather near the back wall. Is that what I think it is? She slid her attention from the cross to the four post bed in the corner, then to what she could only assume was a spanking bench a few feet away. Most of the romance stories one her e-book reader contained stories that included equipment much like the pieces filling this room. A sudden awareness clawed its way to the surface. Oh My God… Daniel Ashburn is a Dom
