I wrote the first poem for a writing challenge based on a real event. When Mr Carver read it, it stuck in his head until he had to write his version down. It was so gripping, I had to include it. Someone else suggested that the plot was better suited to a short story, and so, the trilogy of one event was born.


A chilling tale of a crazy man and the one person who stood between him and a nursery full of infants.
