Feeling very alone and trembling with fear one day, Smyrnus Apfig went to Queen Smyrna and loud enough to be heard in all figland, he screamed, "I am not an apfig"
The Queen said with equanimity, "Well OK. Then what are you?"
It took him only one excruciatingly painful second to realize that he did not know. He had no other name to give her. And he humbly lowered his branches to the ground in utter shame and humiliation,
Queen Smyrna smiled and said, "Apfigs that don't know what they are are foolish apfigs," Laughter exploded all over figland.
