Mitch Bensel writings

A paranormal novel of mystery and suspense. A small town becomes the setting of a spiritual battle between Kieran, a local artist, and the epitome of evil. When an ancient artifact is delivered to the town that contains infinite power to the holder. That power can be of good or bad, the holder has the choice. The twists of love and sex with violence keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. A truly ‘cannot put down’ adventure.

Excerpt

Every small town had its own personality created by a combination of factors. The small shops or mountains that shadowed with their magnificence, an ocean nearby or scattered forests that edged the town. The energy of the people that lived in the town developed the ambience felt by those who traveled through as visitors. Everyone who had ever gone through a small town had felt that being watched feeling, and the definite, obvious, sometimes uncomfortable reality, that you were a visitor.

Freemont, was just that, a small town on the Pacific coast with the ocean’s pure energy slammed into its air, and into the town. Some went there to live and escape the rush of life. Some had lived there since birth and would never leave, for it was safe, with a slow pace and it was beautiful. Always a place of rest that never ended in its simplicity. But a moment can create change. A moment had begun, as this town had the cliché responsibility to save the world. How could a place of basic life, have saved the world? The candy shops had soda fountains, the movie theater at the center of town showed the past of art and actors on an old screen. Trees held swings for the kids, and birds did their music from the branches, it wasn’t special in any way, it was just a small town.

Attention to the details of innocence, was a skill of the dark energies that had roamed earth since the beginning of time. An ancient artifact had fallen into Freemont, what followed this artifact, was the epitome of evil.
