After coming down the stairs, Vince and Angela’s eyes focused on each other for a short moment. Vince had an attraction for Angela as he watched her work in the café. Seeing her every morning covered up in a spotted apron, with her hair tied back in a ponytail never prevented him from wanting her. When he finally succeeded in taking her out, he observed her in a new light, as she was dressed at her best with her hair freely flowing. Her flawless face was radiant. The pureness and beauty of her complexion didn’t need much makeup, but she wore a soft-colored lipstick that accentuated the sensuousness of her lips, the lips he was yearning to taste.
“You look so wonderful, Angela.”
“Thank you,” she blushed. “So do you.”
Vince smiled and gently took Angela’s sweater from her arm.
“Maybe you’d better put this on. The temperature has gotten cooler since before.”
Vince held the sweater for Angela from behind. As her arms slithered through the lacy, crocheted sleeves, he softly and slowly slipped it to her shoulders, resting his fingertips at the nape of her neck for a brief moment. At that point, there was nothing chilled about Angela. In fact, she hoped he hadn’t noticed the flash of heat that was overcoming her. He opened the downstairs door, and led her to his black sports car with an opened convertible top.
Until that night, Angela had no idea what an amiable man Vince was. With his looks, she expected him to be more on the conceited and arrogant side. However, he was different then she ever imagined. Although he displayed himself with confidence and charisma, he was far from being smug or egotistical.
