A boy, an island...aliens.
Feuding extra-terrestrials are a young castaway’s only hope for rescue.
NOTE: This is the third book in a 4-book serial e-novel for young readers.
Book 3: Zeppendulars
Forced to seek shelter and safety inside a space ship buried under the motu, Sebastian discovers that the strange florescent green pelicans living there are actually Dorrgroos, an alien species from another galaxy. The friendly Dorrgroos can morph into the forms of other living creatures. But so can the Zeppendulars; an evil species of alien that occupy the larger island across the lagoon.
The feuding species of aliens have been stranded on the atoll following the crash of both of their space ships eons ago. The Zeppendulars have managed to uncover and repair their ship and are getting close to leaving with the only means to get back home. To make matters worse, the ‘Zepps’ have placed a cloak around the entire atoll that renders it invisible from the air or sea. The Dorrgroos survival, Sebastian’s rescue and the future of the planet earth may all rest in Sebastian’s ability to develop and execute a plan to hijack the Zeppendular’s space ship.
Excerpt
Sebastian steps in front of the pod containing the Ichthyosaur amphibious dinosaur.
“Let’s see you morph into this.”
The aliens step back wide-eyed and give the “no” sign; putting a thumb to their noses and wiggling their fingers rapidly.
Sebastian laughs loudly.
“I was just messing with you. I’d probably wet my pants if I saw one of these things alive.”
He steps in front of the pod containing the woman.
“What about her? She looks friendly.”
All the aliens give the “yes” sign.
“Does she speak the same language as me?
Again, the “yes” sign.
“Awesome! Then one of you guys has to morph into her so we can have a regular conversation and I can find out what I need to know.”
The aliens stare blankly at Sebastian.

Sebastian and the Invisible Island
A boy, an island...aliens. wow! Book 1 of the 4-book series had me hooked into a fun and often funny sea adventure and survival story. Sebastian is such a fresh, smart and adorable protagonist. Then I read Book 2 and discovered twists and new characters that I never saw coming. I hadn't heard of the author, but he has a terrific imagination, blending a natural and beautiful setting with elements of sci-fi and fantasy that keep the pages turning. This series is touted for `young readers' but is a fun read for adults, as well. I recommend it highly.
