"Let the Children Come to Jesus" is actually two books in one, "Let the Children Come to Jesus" story book and the picture book, "God's Joyful Servants."
"Let the Children Come to Jesus" invites you to come and join the Holdiman family as they take part in one of their family traditions, reading a book together before bedtime.
Many of our precious and inquisitive readers of "God's Joyful Servants" have written to us asking us WHY did the Butler Boy in "God's Joyful Servants" decide that the false masters in his fanciful dream were not the ones he was to serve.
"Let the Children Come to Jesus" is the answer to their questions.
Like the Holdiman kids, Matthew and Martha, imagine yourself cuddled up with your Dad on a small couch, with your Mom nearby knitting Christmas stockings, near a warm fire, with a Baby Jesus manger scene in front of you as your Dad reads "God's Joyful Servants" to you.
You will soon understand that the story is really meant for YOU and about YOU, and for your family, as God invites YOU to be a part of His family and become one of His Joyful Servants.
After all, we Christians know the true REASON for the holiday SEASON, and we hope that "Let the Children Come to Jesus" becomes a favorite of yours every year but especially during the celebration of our Savior's birth.
Excerpt
“Ever since the morn of the day he was born, Butler Boy heard a special horn.”
“It was the angel that God sent who blew the horn, wasn’t it, Father?” asked Martha. “See, there’s the angel right there.” She reached over and put her finger on the picture of the angel.
“That’s right,” said her father. “God sent one of His angels with a special message for Butler Boy.”
“And it’s the same message for us too, isn’t it Father?” said Matthew. “Read the message please, it is one of my favorites.”
“You’re a Boy Butler, a servant you’ll be, follow this call, it’s your destiny.”
