More about the Chronicles of Jan
#1 Jan and The Spooky Periscope Incident
Jan is a mad scientist. Really, really, mad… In this first of a series of short stories, Jan gets all cross-dimensional when she invents a reality trans-locator. Things don’t quite pan out as expected as she has to deal with machines with the energy output of the sun, nasal black holes, a surly robot named Lucky and a tribe of periscopes.
#2 Jan and The Mysterious Dishwasher Thing
In this second instalment in the Jan series, Jan discovers a very, very mysterious thing inside her dishwasher.
But that’s not the whole story, not by a long shot. It’s a tale that involves a bunch of exotic particles, cascading dimensions, a gun that shoots mermaids, an Angelic Choir of one, more periscopes and yes, really a really big explosion.
All things considered, Jan dealt with the periscopes very well. But to get to that bit, I'll have to start at the start, with a theory Jan had about eigenstates, Schrödinger's Cat and collapsing infinity. I don't expect you to believe this, so take it as you will. But rest assured, there are no cats in the following story, other than that one. As for infinity, well, I'm still trying to figure that part out.
Let me tell you about Jan. She's a good friend of mine, very very smart. She's actually a genius – not the kind that sits on cushions whispering OM a lot and contemplating love – but the kind who messes with elements ending in onium and makes things that sometimes works. Sometimes explode. Most times both.
