Following a gluten and dairy free diet needn't mean you have to prepare separate meals from the rest of the family. There are many recipes that are naturally safe for you, and others which can be adapted and still remain good enough for the whole family.
Entertaining your friends for dinner or a party needn't be a minefield if you use the recipes in this book to prepare luscious meals and party specials that are both tasty and completely gluten and dairy free.
Excerpt
This diet is not for the faint hearted, nor for anybody who doesn't need to follow it. It is not a weight loss diet, for example. So if you don't have a problem with gluten and dairy, there's no point in following a gluten dairy free diet.
That sounds like a sweeping statement, but let me qualify it a little. If you're vegan and need to be gluten free, then (whatever anyone else may say about it), you need to follow a gluten and dairy free diet.
Newly diagnosed celiacs may also need to be gluten and dairy free, because the damage done to the villi in the intestine often prevents them from digesting milk products, as well as gluten, at least until healing has taken place - which can take more than a year.

Wonderful recipes
This is a wonderful collection of recipes for people with gluten or dairy allergies. It's nice to have more choices when cooking for relatives who need special attention to their diet.
Gluten Dairy Free-Easy - Tasty Easy Gluten Recipes
As a suffer of Gluten intolerance I found this book invaluable, I love the recipes and it is now a favourite in my kitchen
Getting comfortable with gluten dairy free food
Frann brings her personal background and flair for mixing interesting flavors to a good cookbook for those just starting out with elminating gluten and dairy. Given how integral those two categories are to our traditional foods, comfort foods, convenience foods - it can be overwhelming to realize you must stop ingesting gluten and dairy if you want to be well. Frann makes it that much easier.
Those who have additional restrictions for personal or health reasons will see that they can substitute out the unwanted ingredients (using a non-soy version of casein free margarine, for example; using coconut milk instead of soy milk as well.)
It's a great cookbook for jumpstarting your own kitchen (and mental)conversion to life without dairy and gluten, and shows a multitude of possibilities for delicious eating. My guess is that your family or friends joining you for dinner would never notice what they're "missing." From here, one can continue to educate oneself, learning how to adapt as necessary if there are further food restrictions beyond dairy and gluten.
Well done, Frann.
