"As much as I liked Fifty Shades, this story makes Christian and Ana's relationship seem almost....vanilla, if you will. " Nancy
"WOW!!! This makes Fifty Shades read like a Disney story!" Dawn (UK)
After graduation, twenty-four-year-old Leah was determined that no man would destroy her plans for the future. Or so she thought. Her best laid plans and well-ordered life were turned head over heels after her best friend, Janie, invited her to a "coming-out" party.
One look at Rhett and all previous thoughts went straight to hell. He made an unbelievable offer to her: "Give me 10 nights and I'll show you pleasure beyond your wildest dreams."
Was this an invitation to paradise or would his request destroy her mind, body and soul?
From virgin to courtesan in 10 nights? Was Leah even willing to consider it?
In a game of cat and mouse in which 10 nights, 10 choices and 10 fantasies could change everything, who would declare victory?
Will you walk into my dungeon?
This darker hue of 50 shades takes BDSM to a new level, when a suave, rich, handsome hunk of a man makes an indecent proposal to an innocent young girl and lures her into his dungeon. Like the entranced fly, she can't resist his charms, and soon has signed on for ten nights of exploration and discovery unlike anything in National Geographic.
Introduced to an alternative lifestyle by her closest friend, Leah is shocked to the core, but unable to hide or explain the excitement she feels as an observer to a real-life version of dungeons and dominators.
The lines of love and lust get very blurry as the story progresses, and even though she has a magic word that will make it all go away, she is loathe to use it, despite being repeatedly forced way out of her comfort zone.
Richly descriptive in skin tingling detail, the dialogue is repetitive and could have used some editing to make a better reading experience. Let's face it though - if you're thinking of buying this novel, it's more than likely that you're not going to be paying too much attention to how many times Rhett coos "my beautiful girl" to a blushing Leah.

Just what I was looking for
I love to read just about anything but there are times in your life when you are looking for something a little bit naughty. I had read the 50 Shades of Grey books but it just wasn't what I was looking for. I had read A Night at Tears of Crimson by Ms. Hughes and I knew that her new book was due out soon. Just having read the synopsis to 10 Nights left me longing for more. I have to say that I was not disappointed! Rhett was exactly how I would picture a hardcore Alpha Dom living the life. I was a little put off at first that he seemed to live the life fulltime but while reading the book it put a depth to the character that I wasn't expecting. Leah was an enigma at first that I was not sure if I was going to like or not. I wasn't sure exactly how she would adjust to the lifestyle of a Sub and I have to admit that I was a little surprised at how quickly she jumped on his offer. While reading her story you can feel the passion that she is developing as a Sub and it puts a nice spin on the story. I want to read a book that gives me enough detail that I can picture what I am reading in my head but at the same time not so raunchy that I can't read it. Ms. Hughes and Mr. Jones managed to draw me into a world of BDSM without fear, without guilt and left me with a deep understanding of a topic that has always interested me but that I have never taken part in. If this is the kind of work that these two writers are able to create together, then I can not wait for more!
Intense Erotic Romance
I received a copy of this book from the authors on a read to review basis. Waar
This is the FIRST novel in the erotic romance genre I've read. I have not read 50 Shades of Grey, so keep that in mind when considering this review. 10 Nights has plenty of steamy scenes along with good character development. Rhett, the main male character, can come across as kind of scary, although I do like that the authors gave him a soft vulnerability with a conscience too. I also really liked the character Janie, a somewhat flighty young gal with a heart of gold. Without giving too much away I'm going to say I liked the ending. After such intensity throughout the story, the ending was just the soft romance needed to wrap up the story.
This book contains what are, in my opinion, very graphic S&M sex scenes. I'm not particularily comfortable with them, but as not being aware of what is typical in this genre, I don't feel qualified to judge whether or not they are too extreme. I advise reading the other reviews to help determine if this is a novel you'd be comfortable with reading. Yes, there are some spelling and grammatical errors but I don't take those into account in my reviews because they are something that will get caught and corrected by the editor. My 4/5 stars rating is based on the character development, plot and overall writing talent.
