T H Rahman/ Dead Rich

The horror of fighting zombies becomes a reality in Albany, New York where an arrogant, selfish Bo Reynolds finds himself thrown into a perilous situation. He seeks to endeavor in the face of long odds and nearly overwhelming obstacles, which take the form of flesh-eating zombies.

The attack on the United States of America begins, and Bo must save himself from the approaching enemy bombers decimating the city.

Five years later, during the time of a war-torn America, Bo finds himself on the outskirts of the city trying to survive within post-apocalyptic surroundings and its population of zombies.

A beautiful young woman named Lynn frees Bo from danger, and together the two set out to find safety inside Tate Estate, but soon find themselves fighting alongside Cassius and Tony whom are already prisoners within the boundaries of the mansion. The unfortunate four must play a deadly reality game of survival against hordes of hungry zombies in an attempt to win their freedom or face a brutal death.

With evil intent, Mr. Tate, a cruel, evil individual and proud owner of Tate Estate manipulates his servants to do his bidding by ordering them to release wave after wave of zombies into the mansion with the intent to kill the four contestants. As the game progresses, something far worse is unleashed, something so vicious that not even the strong know if they can survive.

While the contestants are struggling for their survival in the lower rooms of the mansion, Mr. Tate’s wealthy guests are on the floor above indulging in food and drink, watching the greatest reality show ever entertained on a television screen.

The fondest Rufus is Mr. Tate’s most obedient servant and fulfills his master’s wishes, but soon a feeling he has never felt before infiltrates his heart, and he will do whatever he can to keep it there.

Excerpt

I didnít bother to act right away. Instead, I prepared myself for the attack. As I backed up the stairs, I raised the shotgun to my shoulder, took aim, and prepared to kill the fiends when a startling roar reached my ears, which made me feel like my soul was about to leave my body.

I turned to see where Tony was, but all I could see was his backside go through the opposite doorway of the control room and disappear into the hall. I decided it was time to join him and was about to take off when I caught a glimpse of the most awful thing rumble its way towards me.

The fiend was hideous with death raging in its glowing, green eyes. Bare spots of puss oozed from open sores and mingled with the missing patches of fur on its body and head. The deformed bear-like creature charged into the hall, plowed past the walking dead, and knocked them to the floor like bowling pins. The beast looked around for something to tear apart and snapped its jaws at the undead.

I took off through the control room and didnít stop until I was at the end of the hall. Once there, I turned back and raised the double barrel shotgun to my shoulder.

The monstrous bear-like creature charged through the door from the control room, came to a stop, and turned its green eyes my way. The fiend released another bone-chilling growl from within, and then advanced.

I backed away and let loose with both barrels that hit the fiend in the face.

The direct blast didnít faze the hideous beast whatsoever. However, it did cause the beast to stop, but only for a short moment. The fiend reared onto its hind legs, vigorously shook its head, and released another ear-piercing roar.

I felt my head was going to explode. I covered my ears and sidestepped to avoid the deadly spittle erupting from the fiendís mouth.

The bear-like beast launched itself through the air.

I thought about reloading, but instead, I braced myself for the impact. I fell backwards and stuffed the shotgun sideways into the beastís mouth to block its attack. The fiendís stagnant breath assaulted my nostrils, which caused the vomit to stir in my stomach. With both hands and my feet, I tried my best to keep the beastís massive jaws at bay. If they clamp down on any part of my body, Iím done for, I thought.

Tony stopped in the doorway, which led to the balcony and could see that I was in danger. He squeezed the trigger to the M4A1 and unloaded an entire clip into the body of the grizzly fiend with little effect. Instead of reloading, he charged the beast and drove his shoulder into its side.

The bear-like fiend took two steps to the side and nearly fell, but held its ground only to turn its attention towards the new meat. Then the beast stepped from atop of me and snapped its jaws at Tony.
