Excerpt

If you're planning to do this workbook completely on your own, there are a few things you should know first. The best way to insure that this book will work well for you is to be very honest and admit to yourself that not being able to control your anger has created problems for you. Because The Anger Management Workbook For Kids And Teens asks a great deal of you in being able to complete assignments, exercises, homework and self-discipline, you're going to have to try to work very hard.
Some kids, because they are older, more mature or have a longer attention span will be able to complete more parts of this book than someone who is younger or for whom anger problems have just not become too important so far. If you are not that interested in reading the explanations of why kids have a lot of anger, but like doing the exercises, then that's all you should do right now. Later, when you feel more ready, you can go back and complete the parts you skipped the first time around. This workbook is meant for you to go over as many times as you still feel out of control with your angry feelings. Each time you redo it, you will get more help from it.
