When Tom realizes his dream of moving to a house in the country his friends (Deaton, Deandra, Pee Wee, Marcus (aka Grandmother), T-Bo and Mike) come out to help him celebrate. But as most of them reflect on old times, have cocktails, smoke some pot, and talk about their lives it becomes obvious that Pee Wee is more neurotic than usual. Pee Wee does not change until Mike, a local policeman, arrives. From that point forward Pee Wee must confront his uniform fetish.
After Mike retires for the night so does Pee Wee, though he cannot help but to think about the handsome cop sleeping under the same roof. Slowly he loses his grip on reality. As the night progresses, he is confronted with issues that will change his life forever.
Meanwhile, Marcus is dealing with his own demons as he attempts to deal with a new man in his life and the shawdow of the man he has loved most of his life. Ultimately, the moon ushers in the morning - but their lives have changed.
"... Deaton thinks that I have totally lost it, or at least that is what he says. I honestly believe that he understands what this place means to me but what he doesn't quite understand is why I made such a drastic change in my life."
"Pee Wee took off his shirt and sat down on the corner of the bed. He looked at himself in the mirror. He was thin and boyish. As he surveyed himself further his mind began to wander. He kept seeing Mike, the handsome cop that he knew was just steps away from him. That made him more unsettled. He was really tired and wanted to go to sleep, but he couldn't get the cop out of his mind."
