Craving a good, creepy scarefest that cuts straight to the the terrifying bone, so to speak?

Go to DOUBLE-DRAGON EBOOKS.COM to read a sample chapter of this edge-of-your-seat thriller!
At a remote, isolated prison site in rural Mississippi, seven strangers will be forced to battle an ancient evil that threatens the stability of the entire planet. A reclusive middle-aged man lost in his own guilt; a brother and sister searching for their missing parents; a group of government despising militia; all will face their own mortality within the walls of the Briarston Correctional Facility, where something had arisen; a being that feeds on human misery and hatred. Before the crimson mist of the night is replaced by the early morning fog surrounding the prison site, those who survive will discover that the roots of evil are not so easily severed within DAMNED GROUNDS.

Professional Reviews
Gory, Over the Top
Terry Vinson's Damned Grounds is a gory, over the top thriller that encompasses several genres, to include horror, sci-fi and mystery, and represents each very well. Often humorous and never dull, although possibly a bit too gruesome for the weak of stomach, I nonetheless enjoyed the ride immensely. Part Lovecraft myth and King character study, its a ride worth taking.

Relentless Scarefest
'Damned Grounds' pulls no punches. This relentless gorefest doesn't apologize for the utter bleakness that hangs over it's every word like a black cloud of hopelessness for the human race. Kudos to T.L.Vinson for a ride worth taking...and for not delivering the 'cop out' ending that has, so sadly, become the norm in horror/suspense fiction.

I've only gotten through the first two chapters...and I'm hooked! Foreboding suspense, with just a hint of black humor.
More later.... so far, so good... |
