A timely military thriller written three months before 9/11 but with haunting similarities. "The Jericho Gambit" will grab you and not let you go.

"Operation Jericho" is a surgical strike conducted by an untraceable force of multination Arab terrorists against a vital US target.
It is a watershed of different standards, of vastly different life styles, of religious intolerance and political realities and of cultural and moral value in an irreconcilable encounter.

Excerpt

Sa'id consulted his watch. It was almost eight o'clock. He grunted and slipped the knife back into the sheath at the waistband of his trousers.
"It is time," he said. "Come."
The rain and wind fled from the cabin after them, leaving but a sole terrorist as the only occupant and guardian of the pilot boat. Three men, Sa'id leading, trod swiftly back up the darkened pier and disappeared into the night, the wind and the rain marching with them up the knoll toward the Garrison House, to the point of their destinies which had been determined by Allah even before their births.
