30 Days to Building a Better Relationship with God, begins by encouraging the reader with a statement ‘if God created the universe in 7 days, then surely we can develop a stronger relationship with God in 30 days!’ The Godly Relationship Builder starts with a five point daily "relationship builder exercise" list. Day one of the guide begins by helping the reader to understand that they’re starting where all relationships with God start, - - repentance. It explains that they are not alone that we all have sinned and must begin again through repentance. Day two progresses to teaching the reader to purposefully ask God what and how he wants them to live the life he has given them. Each day has a calendar journal entry section that contains timely, uplifting, biblically related, fun, yet encouraging statements, to help the reader go on to the next day’s Godly Relationship Builder exercise. Day one’s calendar entry boldly states: "Wanted: A Better Relationship with God; Contact: Jesus Christ. "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins--""
Anyone can become discouraged if they make a mistake; therefore, this guide has a middle or mid-month booster! Day 15 speaks intimately to the reader - ‘Start over again if you quit. So you’re halfway through and you’ve made some mistakes- maybe missed a day – no problem, continue on or start again; today is your first day. You do not have to start at the beginning of the month – any day can be the first day. It has been said that tomorrow is fresh with no mistakes in it. Seize this day and this moment and ask God to help you get to know him better. Be patient, you will see a difference in time, give yourself time." This statement confirms to the reader that you’re human, and God still loves you. You can either start again, or continue on. The goal is to encourage the reader to just keep trying. Day 15’s calendar journal statement says, "It has been said, that the best place to begin is at the beginning. If you’ve gotten off course, do like the words to an old song says "pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again!""
Day 25 uses a saying from an old Dr. Suess book as it encourages the reader to go someplace, that going places, enjoying Gods world, indeed living life to the fullest is also a part of your relationship with God. Its journal saying states "Someone once said "I have places to go and people to see" "So congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to great places! You’re off and away!" And ohh, the places you’ll go!" On day 30, the reader will be confident that they see and feel a change in their life. The 30th day brings the reader to a serene place by teaching an old spiritual prayer - the serenity prayer. The prayer teaches that you can receive direction from God to lead a good life. The last section teaches one of the most important steps in your relationship with God, the method of repetition, and being consistent. The guide reveals that all good relationships are built on repeating loving firm actions! This guide is structured to direct the reader to continuous use of it and thereby firmly rooting the reader to a daily quality relationship with God.
