In Search of Truth and Freedom
Book; In Search of Truth and Freedom

A scientist/philosopher explores the mysteries of existence in a highly personal quest for answers to life's ultimate questions, forging a bridge between sterile science and spiritual values -- a scholarly work for all who seek wisdom, truth, true freedom, and who are unafraid to venture beyond traditional beliefs and superficial values.

Is truth absolute or relative? Is freedom won on the battlefield or through personal effort? Is happiness a state of mind? Is spirit the result or the source of life? Many of today's men and women are disenchanted with the narrow diverging views of reality painted by Western science and by religious doctrine. They are searching for meaning in their lives, looking for answers they cannot get from traditional sources. The book explains humanity's cosmic connections, the meaning and purpose of life, the mysteries of existence, the relationship of spirit, mind and brain. It proposes a new cosmology and a solution for the wave/particle paradox. It shows how to conquer fear and gain personal power, and how to win freedom through personal effort. It is about life and all its aspects, life as an opportunity for spiritual growth.

Creation is the conscious, living, spiritual energy that pervades every part of the cosmos. It is infinite, as it creates all space in the first place. It is eternal, because it creates time, rather than being subject to time. It is manifest in every star, galaxy and in every subatomic particle. It is all-powerful, because it drives all processes throughout the omniverse. It is all-knowing, because it is the source of all knowledge and wisdom and is intimately connected with all intelligent and thinking beings. It is alive, because it is the total of all living entities in the omniverse. Creation created the omniverse out of itself and keeps guiding it, constantly evolving towards greater consciousness. Creation is the spiritual source of life-energy and knowledge which rule all things. It is timeless, yet it contains all time. It is ever present in the smallest and the largest manifestations of existence. It can appear in any form, because it creates all form. It is neither masculine nor feminine, but both. It is itself impersonal, yet all personal life forms, including animals, humans and gods, are representations of it. It rules the omniverse, including all conscious life, through its natural laws. Chinese Taoists strove to live in harmony with nature to achieve spiritual peace and enlightenment. This is not just a good idea. It is essential, because nature is where all life and consciousness resides. Those who think they can disconnect themselves from nature and Creation are choosing death, physically and spiritually.

Professional Reviews
Michael A. Cremo, coauthor of 'Forbidden Archaeology'
“In Search of Truth and Freedom is the highly personal account of a bold and courageous quest for answers to life's ultimate questions. ... As the old scientific certainties begin to dissolve, many thoughtful persons are looking for a new set of cosmological and philosophical concepts to guide our lives as we enter a new millennium. Dietmar Rothe is one of them, and he deserves an attentive hearing.”

Reviewer’s Bookwatch, Oct. 2000 – The Midwest Book Review
“Rothe applies his science to speak about unanswered questions, difficulties with theories in physics, the hollowness of organized religion. This conscientious scientist has looked into his scientific hypotheses and simply seen the truth. ... Very personal opening sections, as Rothe describes his confusions, failures, and his ultimate understanding. A search filled with wisdom and eloquent musings by a man with a passion for the eternal truth.”

Norman DeCindis (, Boca Raton, Florida, February 2002
“WOW! This is a powerhouse of a book. If you love logical books you should read this. This book is full of charts and graphs which make following easier. This is a book every scientist should read. It is a wake-up call to mankind. One of the most interesting chapters is Chapter 8 ‘The Story of Jmmanuel.’ If we had more critical thinkers like Dietmar Rothe, the world would be a better place.”

I expressed my view of the purpose of life in a poem here:

I believe everyone has precisely the same purpose of life - the fundamental thing life on this whirling space pebble should accomplish.

We look at a fact, derive meaning, assess value, determine mission, and realize purpose, IN THAT ORDER, if we want to get it right.

I shall discuss all of those in a future article.

Feel free to respond.

This book is a powerful analysis of material existence and our connection to the higher spheres-- the most profound I have encountered in my lifelong search through religious history, philosopohy, and scientific discovery...
"In Search of Truth and Freedom" makes a significant contribution to our slowly expanding awareness. And, with it, Dietmar Rothe makes my list of "the world's 100 greatest thinkers."
