David felt his blood reaching critical heat. "Are you having an affair with Tygran?"
Kira dropped her gaze and pushed against the arm that blocked her retreat. "I don't have time for affairs," she mumbled. "With anyone."
He gripped the back of her neck, barely maintaining his control against the storming heat of desire riding through him. Forcing her head around, he tilted her face up, bringing her lips only a breath away from his. "Make time," he whispered hoarsely, then covered her mouth with a hard, desperate kiss.

After her parents die in a suspicious accident, Kira Farseaker commits to finishing their quest by safely transporting the Shifters off the planet Narava before her evil ex-husband, Ennoren, destroys them all. She swears to do anything to keep the Shifters safe. They are almost extinct as it is.
Kira teams up with an unlikely suspect, David Cario, Ennoren’s Officer of the Guard. His own sister was executed for treasonous acts related to saving the Shifters. David worked hard to earn Ennoren’s trust and infiltrate his inner sanctions. Now that he has succeeded, David is determined to find out what Ennoren is up to and why. When Kira and David get together, sparks fly, but because of their secrets, neither can trust the other.
This face-paced science fiction adventure grabbed my attention from the first page. Isabo Kelly did a wonderful job of creating this fictional world of Earthlings and aliens. I particularly enjoyed the relationship that grew between Kira and David. As a reader of both science fiction and romance books, I feel this book satisfied my craving for both.

Under the Covers Review
THE PROMISE OF KIERNA'RHOAN is an exceptional futuristic romance that centers on the impact of the extremes of prejudice. The story line moves faster than the speed of light, as humans easily accept the lies spread about Shifters. Kira is a strong person, but at times seems more like a superheroine than a nurturing individual with doubts about the proper path to take. David steals the show with his reactions to learning how the propaganda of lies has kept him ignorant from the truth about Shifters. Isabo Kelly shows much talent and fans of speculative fiction romances will fully relish this dynamic tale.
