“I think you’ve made a good start. We had a great talk today, I think it cleared a lot of cobwebs from your heart.”
“Cobwebs from my heart,” she repeated, a small frown moving her eyebrows together. “That’s good. Must be the writer in you.”
He shrugged. “You can’t blame yourself for the past, Caroline.”
“I don’t think I do any longer but I must have for a long time. I was thinking about us while I showered. You don’t know who your parents are but you coped with that at a very early age. He nodded.
“We’re both ‘nobody’s child,’ really,” she murmured.

A child is the sum of all which has been poured into him. Like a vessel, he is filled with the miracles of life, the uncertainty of future, and the comfort of belonging to that which created him. No matter where life takes him, he will carry the past with him, share the wonder of the unknown, and savor the future. His questions will be answered by a love which hearts have hidden… Author Unknown
