I was born and raised in Ventura, California, the home of Earl Stanley Gardner. I loved Perry Mason and some critics have said my legal mysteries reflect that influence. Steven King is my favorite author. I also read Scottalini, Grisham, Patterson, Sheldon and Koontz among others. Of course, everybody loves Harry Potter.
After writing ten mysteries, I've strayed into the fantasy/sci fi genre. It's much different and more challenging for me, but I'm having lots of fun and some success.

My signing af few years back at Little Professor books in Aberdeen, South Dakota was the 48th state in which I've promoted my novels since 1997. Since then I've participated in over 600 events in 225+ cities across the nation promoting the eight Stan Turner Mysteries, three suspense novels and one non-fiction.

My latest novel, Act Normal, is about to be released. It is very much a mystery but has a strong sci fi flavor as well. So far it's been getting favorable reviews. so I hope you'll check it out.

My fictional planet is called Tarizon and it will be the setting for my new science fiction/fantasy trilogy that will hopefully be out soon.
