Mr. Rayer is a retired Music Director from the Mayfield City Schools of Cleveland, Ohio. His interests include music composition and music performance, writing, golf, flight simulation and nature walks with his wife, Terri. He has studied music composition with Donald Erb, Bain Murray and Rudolph Bubalo. He is a current member of the Cleveland Composers Guild and the International Writers Association (IWA). His 'Dance Suite' for Flute Trio is published by BRS Music, Inc. He has had orchestral compositions performed by many local colleges and community orchestras and bands. He is currently working on book 2 of this series and expects to have it completed by next year (2010). He won second place in a Composer's Composition Contest for the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center and their 2010 theme 'Sing Out'.

Winner: Performance of an original work of music by the Flute Society of Cleveland.
