My name is Ernie Heavin. I am the author of Living By The Power Of Faith, an unique study from the book of Romans (published in June, 2009) and World 1 & World 2, a study from 1st Peter (published October 2010). Both books are in paperback and Kindle format
My Writing Philosophy
My purpose is to write down to earth stories that shed light on the deep principles of Scripture, taking biblical ideas expressed in today’s language. I personally share my struggles and victories with the reader and try not to come across as aloof or superficial.
My concept is quite basic. When we read about the individuals discussed in Scripture (Abraham, David, Ruth, Martha, the apostles) we witness real people with real problems in a relationship with a real powerful and loving Creator. If the Holy Spirit thought it was vital to reveal the failures and struggles of these individuals we think of as biblical characters, how much more so in my writings.

Accomplishments: I've been married to the same woman for 27 years. I have two wonderul Christian daughters. That's quite an achievement! I'm a minister, a chaplain for Chick-fil-A and work at Georgetown College. As of September 2010 I will have had two books published by Crosslink Publishing and served in ministry for 25 years. I have been most fortunate!
