When I entered kindergarten I thought I couldn't draw good. I literally didn't know how to draw a stick figure! My mom's an artist and so I drew people looking like people...my cousin said, "no, you don't draw people like that...like this." She drew a stick-figure and I copied her. From as long as I can remember I have seen the world as it is, and not as it is sometimes portrayed. I do not say this to brag. I think it's some kind of gift God gave me. I was shy as a youngster, and so drawing, painting, singing and writing poems became a way to express myself. I write to communicate, to tell stories.Hopefully in a manner that will leave you thinking, feeling, appreciating life in a fresh way.

Accomplishments: I recently self-published a book of my poems called "Norwood night & Other Poems". I've written on and off for years, but it was only in 2007 that I began sharing my poems with other people outside of my family. People kept asking me to publish them in a book, and so I did.
It took a lot of work, but it was worth it.

I've just published the first edition of my poetry called "Norwood night and Other Poems" Some of the poems included are "The Tire Swing", "Norwood night", and "Farewell to Snow". There's a few poems that will tickle you, a few that might make you say 'Thankyou Lord', and maybe one or two that may cause you to look at your fellow humans differently.
