As a fan of C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien, I find that fantasy and science fiction are a great means of introducing issues of good and evil to people without a soap box approach which may simply turn them off from your ideas. For that reason I have written mostly science fiction, although I have one general audience novel and a nonfiction book on American education available. Besides Lewis and Tolkien, my family, my religion, and one great philosophy professor have had great influence on my person and, by extention, my writing.
