I am a pure "A-Type" with my fingers in many pies. 21 Novels, multiple short stories and several awards. Member of Coffee House Tours group that does book signings. Can't figure out how to use my spare 2 minutes each day.
My background is extremely varied, having been involved in such diverse fields as Interior Design, Barter, Marketing and Promotion, Travel and more. My wonderful writers groups and the conferences and workshops I've attended have had a major influence on my writing. I went from a magazine article writer to a novelist, but when I first made the transition I thought I knew how to write fiction. Boy, did I have a lot to learn.
With 21 published novels, multiple short stories and over 600 columns about the craft and business of writing for Examiner.com plus all of the workshops I've developed, I finally feel justified in saying I write fiction. Just when I thought that was enough, I ventured into writing true crime as well, co-authoring with the late Dennis N. Griffin. Our first book together was NO MORE CRYING ANGELS, Bella Capo's true story about surviving abuse despite overwhelming odds and going on to dedicate her life to helping abuse victims. Our second book was the funny crime caper BUMPING OFF FAT VINNY, part of the Revenge is Fun series. I also co-authored INCEST, MURDER AND A MIRACLE, the amazing memoir of Cheryl and Rob Cuccio. If you are a follower of true crime TV, you may have seen Cheryl on one of the many shows she appeared on.
To round it out, I even co-narrated a segment of Discovery ID in their Crimes to Remember series. It was entitled THE NEWLYDEADS.
I also write the Silver Sisters Mysteries series with my real life sister Phyllice Bradner. This 5 book fun mystery series features identical twin sleuths---Goldie Silver and Godiva Olivia DuBois--with unwanted help from their 80 year old mother and uncle, former vaudeville magicians.
My latest book (released September 6, 2023) is FATAL ENCOUNTER - romantic suspense.

Accomplishments: I have written three award winning short stories. The Silver Sisters Mystery, A Corpse in the Soup, was named best audio book mystery in 2007 by USA Book News. Rip Off (part of the Revenge is Fun series) was a FINALIST in the USA Book News Best Books Awards. It was originally Who's Got the Money. Incest, Murder and a Miracle has won multiple awards.
Seven of my books are also available as audio books.
I have certifications that have nothing to do with writing, like Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing back in my interior design days when I was Director of Design for residential developers.
My crowning achievement in my mind is getting from being too shy to speak to developing and giving writer's workshops that consistently got high marks. And my palms are no longer sweaty nor does my voice shake!
