The newly announced More Adventures of Seamus the Sheltie is the sequel to the nationally award-winning book, The Adventures of Seamus the Sheltie. The author received many requests from parents asking if he would please write additional stories for them that would deal with some specific and difficult topics that they were having problems with trying to discuss them with their child. These requests led James to the publication of his most recent book, More Tales of Seamus the Sheltie.

Do you sometimes have trouble finding the right words to comfort your children when they encounter difficult or frightening issues?  Are you often unsure of how to share with your children your family's values, or feel ill prepared to explain difficult or moral situations?

The newly announced More Adventures of Seamus the Sheltie is the sequel to the nationally award-winning book, The Adventures of Seamus the Sheltie. The author received many requests from parents asking if he would please write additional stories for them that would deal with some specific and difficult topics that they were having problems with trying to discuss them with their child. These requests led James to the publication of his most recent book, More Tales of Seamus the Sheltie.

The Seamus the Sheltie books are written specifically to help parents with those difficult tasks in a safe and fun way. Using his education in clinical child psychology Mr. Beverly uses clever and humorous ways to address for children the morals that accompany each story.
The Seamus the Sheltie books are about a real dog. The majority of the adventures in these books are based on actual events in his life. To make the Seamus stories more fun to read, a language for the dog was developed that was derived from the canine physical makeup, the intelligence and language of a young child, and a large dose of humorous imagination.

Seamus brings a new and entertaining context to life lessons that make them fresh and engaging for the readers of all ages. His innocence and gentleness teach valuable life lessons to young children in a fun way. Humor is a key ingredient, and a happy ending to each story underscores the important moral or basic value relevant to each story in this book, setting the stage for wonderful discussions with a child. After the completion of a chapter, a quick flip to the appendix provides a great place to start to discuss the story with children.

Heartwarming and educational, readers agree that the Seamus the Sheltie books are enjoyable and fun for the entire family.
