Perfection

Perfection, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. More often than not it is a level of personal acceptance to the one, and not to the many. Perfection is not your choice, it is an unexpected result.

Perfection’s hard to find, but several fail to see

collected pain and anguish that forms the perfect seed.

Course correction, new directions, many paths to count.

The finished product’s ready, the grade always in doubt.

Critics scream for more, do it one more time.

Make your magic happen, better and refined.

Perfection’s very tricky, the stars must all align.

Solitude and wisdom must form specific lines.

Inspiration, outside sources, every tic of day

must align like chemistry to blend in every way.

Things that fall in place, beyond your self control,

torture, fear, exhaustion, must take a flawless stroll.

Ingredients of life, some this, some that, and more

funneled through creation, to bake a cake of lore.

Repeating unplanned efforts, when once it flowed so right.

All forces must support the truth, to bring it to the light.

You cannot force perfection and simply turn it on.

Perfecting any art, like life, is a forgery for some.

No such thing as do-overs, more like try again.

Perfection is a hallowed ground, you cannot plan it’s end.
