He is a devout social and cultural medical anthropologist and lectures anthropology at Grant MacEwan University. A published author of books and reviewed articles in journals, book chapters and websites. Examples of his books which are obtainable online (www.amazone.com) include Healing Insanity: A Study of Igbo Medicine in Contemporary Nigeria (2010),  Introduction to Igbo Medicine and Culture in Nigeria (2010), Marrying Wealth, Marrying Poverty: Gender and Bridewealth Power in an African Society - The Igbo of Nigeria (2007).  Founder and co-ordinates the Kpim Book Project Series of Fr. Prof. Pantaleon Foundation for the needy in Nigeria with most recent publication as The Kpim of Feminism: Issues and Women in a Changing World (2010). Dr. Iroegbu will be happy to collaborate in research and policy issues in the field of indigenous knowledge and contemporary global cultural centers. Dr. Patrick Iroegbu is also an engaged community leader, public speaker, facilitator and animator of events as well as a community worker. His public speaking led him to deliver the two nominated Keynote  Speeches for the annual Black History Month 2011, The Nile Valley Foundation Commission Learning Centre for African History Library Project, The Inaugural Francophone Cultural Centre of Alberta, The  2011 Africa Connect to celebrate the United Nation's Year for the People of Africa Descent,  The Nigeria @50 Colloquium, in addition to participation in local and international conferences and workshops. Dr. Iroegbu's research interests include cultures and development, indigenous healing systems, Igbo medicine and culture, migration, race and diaspora issues, interethnic and community relations in global centers, as well as gender and feminism in a complex society. Dr. Patrick Iroegbu was the  former Public Relations Officer of the Coalition of Immigrant Ethno-Cultural Communities in Edmonton 2003 - 2005, past President of Igbo Cultural Association of Edmonton, premier President of The Tamaraneh Society for Community Development and Support for School Children in Romano Village of Sierra Leone. Former Awards Director and Board member from Nigerian community. A recipient of the The Nile Valley Foundation Learning Centre Commission Award 2011.
