Born in Ireland, Donan Berg combines formal United States elementary, high school, and university education with a cultural heritage of Irish homelife. He relishes his nurturing in a multi-cultural neighborhood.
His employment journey mirrored and broadened the multi-cultural upbringing with stints as a journalist, corporate executive, and lawyer. With a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Minnesota, a call from Uncle Sam [actually a letter, remember those?], he returned to the University of Minnesota to earn a Juris Doctor degree.
He's never forgotten his nineteen months in the Republic of Korea, highlighted by eight months as the official United Nations Command reporter for the peace talks at Panmunjom. Prior to Korea, he'd been awarded the Army Commendation Medal at the U.S. Army Recruiting Comand Headquarters, Hampton, VA, for his revitalization of its recruiting magzine.

He had considered himself destined to labor in math and engineering until the instructors started mixing in the alphabet along with the mathematical numbers.
