I picked up the reading habit from my late father, Subramania Venkataram Aiyer.  Starting with Western novels in my teen years, I moved on to Suspense and Crime, Science Fiction and finally, Adventure Fantasy.  The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings belong to my collection of favourite books. Some thirteen years back, I felt that I could also contribute to the writing fraternity and came up with the idea to write an adventure-fantasy novel about three young kings who are tasked to save the world from the evil intentions of a mighty sorcerer.  In their quest, they come upon one overwhelming hurdle after another.  Just like in a real-life situation confronting any of us, the warriors of this tale are handed victory and defeat in ample measure.  The reader is helplessly kept at the edge of his seat in all the trials and tribulations of the characters of this epic story. I started conceptualising the beginnings of this adventure tale with a brief outline of the plot and sketches of the initial characters.  Along the way I stumbled occasionally, but learnt much about the do's and dont's of authoring a book.  What had started out as a passing interest has now blossomed into a raging passion. And yet, perfection in the art of writing has only relative meaning.  Why?  It is because the story written perfectly yesterday does not appear perfect today and could be amended tomorrow to bring it closer towards perfection.  Then again, what appears perfect to one person may not appear so to another.   Venturing into the Ebook arena has been easier than I could have expected.  The complete tale of 'The Mythical Emblems of Gragodon' is now available on ebook platforms such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Scribd, Ciando, Flipkart, Blio, E-sentral, etc.  There are altogether 6 ebook volumes to this epic tale; a story of pure action, adventure, courage, sacrifice and love, culminating in the journey to seek out one's true self and evolve with the times. The ebooks in this fantasy tale do not contain any form of coarse language or exclamations.  Parents and teenagers would find lots of wholesome messages and inspirational qualities to look out for and embrace in the characters depicted in this epic story. In Singapore, I teach the Olympiad Mathematics program to Primary School students and prepare them for the year 6 examinations.  The category of awards for the Olympiad examinations ranges from Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
