Cathrine Hottran was born in 1975 in Kristiansund N, Norway, and moved to Oslo at a young age. From early on, she discovered writing as a way to give shape to emotions — a private language where the unspoken could land before it was said aloud.
Her poetry is rooted in lived experience and the slow work of transformation, capturing both the ache of struggle and the quiet turning points that shape a life. With honesty and precision, she explores the inner landscape as a path to growth.
In her poems, light and shadow, pain and resilience, fear and tenderness all walk side by side — offering moments of reflection, release, and recognition of the weight of being human.
