I started writing as most people do as therapy to escape a bad childhood.  But eventually my life got better but I still loved writing.  I started out as a poet and I still write and publish my poems today.  A few years ago I started writing fiction and joined a wonderful workshop community,  I hope to start shopping my first humor novel to agents next summer.  I have a BA in English and a double minor in Creative Writing and History.  I love reading thrillers, romance, poetry and humorous chick lit. Recently I've also started teaching myself book cover design and have been helping my fellow writers get the e-book cover they want  at a price they can afford.  On  personal note, I live in Kentucky. I've grown up in Kentucky.  I don't recommend it. I was the youngest of eight kids and the only writer in the bunch.  My favorite poets are Anne Sexton, Sylvia Plath and Pablo Neruda.             

I published a few poems here and there in Red Pulp Underground, Dry Tear Anthology, Abstract Zygote Anthology. And I'll be one of the poets featured in Iconic Publishing's Said/UnSaid Poetry Anthology.In 2010, I also finished on the short list for the William Faulkner poetry contest.
