Taking this step is exciting for me.  I have wanted to write since high school when a teacher encouraged me to become an author.   Although i was born in California, i was raised in the South, moving here when i was three years old. I am married. We have three children and six grandchildren,  I have volunteered for everything under the sun.  I have worked in the arts, have been involved in politics, have owned my own business and have been in municipal government  management. Over the years, i have written newsletters, specialty magazines, politcal literature, composed ads and a produced a cookbook.  I enjoy writing even the mundane newsletters, but i want my writing to go in another direction. Time has passed without me really following my dream.  I never had (took) time to get quiet, think and write.  Life moves too fast. I have been inspired by some friends to "just do it", and I am going to try!
