My books are based on actual happenings with some fiction to help move the story along. In writing A COW NAMED JOHN, I spent every summer at my aunt and uncle's farm in Nebraska. I learned chores that seemed more like play, creating good memories in spite of having no toys. NO ONE'S SON, was written as a healing process for me.  It's about my dad's life and the injustice he suffered through superstition.  He made the ultimate sacrifice in the end to provide for his family. My husband and I live in Southern California.  We have three daughters and five grandchildren.
