Robert Williams spent the majority of his early years in Ohio, where he obtained a B.A. degree in History and Secondary Education at Walsh University.  Prior to that he was the 964th AWAC Squadron's Assistant Historian, Airman of the  Quarter, and read history under Professor William Savage while attending evening classes at the University of Oklahoma.  As president of Campus Libertarians he organized several campaigns against the Soloman Amendment's mandatory draft registration. 

Williams has wide experience in his teaching career: he's worked as a substitute teacher, teacher in private practice, elementary teacher, secondary teacher, prison school teacher, public school teacher, private school teacher, Head Coach, College Lecturer, Director of Sport, Educational Administrator and is currently a political and urban ethnographer employed as a Senior Lecturer at The University of Akron.

"If you want to truly know something inside and out, you have to start out as a participant from the bottom", he said.
