I was born in England but moved to Australia years ago. I live outside Melbourne, Victoria. Writing has always been a big part of my life but it wasn't until I retired early that I could write full-time. The elation felt when seeing your name as the author of a book is something only fellow writers would understand. That same sense of achievement never diminishes, no matter how many books you have published. And when a reader tells you how much they enjoyed your work, that makes all the long lonely hours of writing worthwhile.

My Mainstream novel, Traces of Dreams now republished as "Remnants of Dreams" www.triciamcgill.com won the prestigious Romance Writers of Australia's Romantic Book of the Year in 2003. This Award showcases the work of Australian and New Zealand writers. Shrinking Violet, now republished as "Leah in Love (and trouble" was a finalist in the same RWA award in 2006.
White Clover now republished as "The Laird" was voted BEST ELECTRONIC BOOK in the 2001 Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Awards.
