As a young girl in Hamilton, Ohio, the author dreamed of one day publishing a novel. After graduation she moved to California, and now--after raising six children, and a long journalism career--she has three published books: 1106 GRAND BOULEVARD, an epic romantic thriller based in her childhood home; THE TOONIES INVADE SILICON VALLEY, a TEEN/TWEEN high-tech fantasy adventure; and MILLENNIUM BABE: THE PROPHECY, a supernatural mystery adventure about the first baby born in the third millennium. Early in her career, she also hosted a Cable TV talk show, and founded and published her own Building Trades Union newspaper which was "The Voice of Labor in Silicon Valley and Beyond." During her career she has interviewed Actors Clint Eastwood, Jane Russell, and Dale Robertson; singer/actress Tanya Tucker; United Farmworkers founder Cesar Chavez; and various local, state and federal politicians, including Senator Ted Kennedy and the late Mayor Joe Alioto of San Francisco. Dravis resides in San Jose, California, where she is currently writing a horror novel and fine-tuning two more children's books. She is an honorary Kentucky Colonel, a member of Romance Writers of America, Teen Lit Authors, Shelfari, and Sigma Delta Chi.
