My writing background - I've written many different newsletters, articles and poetry for many different organizations - S.K.U.N.K.S., Protect R Wildlife, National Endowment for Animal Rights, California Animal Rescue, Neighborhood Watch 4 Animals, The Orangutan Foundation, etc. I write regular newspaper articles on how to coexist with wildlife, give advice when dealing with nuisance wildlife, and how to properly care for pets. I've been majorly influenced by Birute Galdikas, President of The Orangutan Foundation, where I volunteered for many years, as well as helped with research studying the orangutan in Borneo. Volunteering at other animal rescue and animal rights organizations influenced my decision to dedicate my life to rescuing, educating about and writing about animals and how to make a better world for them and their caretakers.

I have taught seminars around the US (national conferences) on how to coexist with skunks and how to rehabilitate them back to the wild. I taught 3 different classes at the Animal Rights 2007 conference in Los Angeles - Relating to Urban Wildlife, Abusing Our Cousins, and History of Activist Suppression.

I've taken specialized courses on dealing with nuisance wildlife, as well as 15 years of counseling the public on positive solutions to solving wildlife problems.
