As a youth, in the sixties, I would sneak out of bed to watch late night black and white horror shows. Featuring, "Frankenstein," "The Wolf Man," "Dracula," "The Mummy," and so on. My favorite though was, "The Twilight Zone," and "The Outer Limits," great shows with fantastic twist. It wasn't the blood and gore of today’s shows, just nice, clean scare them out of their wits, twist their minds, kind of entertainment we in the sixties loved. It was in the Seventies where I first fell in love with the printed word. Reading, Stephen Kings, "Carrie" launched me into writing. His words were magical. In a sense, they took me from my rural Missouri home on a journey which I have yet to land. Over the years I wrote many short stories for friends and family but it wasn't until recently I wrote and released my first book, "Daewoo." It wasn't a success monetarily but it was a success in confidence building. Those who read it really liked it. It inspired me to write my first novel called, "Scants” followed by a compilation of short stories, called, "Growing Pains." They all boosted my confidence. Long a go I realized the value of art. My wife of the past twenty years paints with oils and pencil. Her work is gifted. I cannot distinguish her sketches from a black and white photograph or her paintings from those in any major art gallery. She is an inspiration to me. Many have never heard of her nor will they ever see her name in lights. That’s the way she wants it. She paints for the love of it.    I write for the love of writing. I do not expect to make my riches from propelling readers into a world of orange creatures or by sending them on a journey down a dark pier. My hope is to tell a story which entertains, makes one think, and takes a reader away from the stress of life, if only for a short while.      

I'm not a goat....I guess thats an achievement. Married with two strong Son's.
