I worked in several hospitals and a lot of my poems reflect the influence my patients had on me. I also love animals, especially horses and dogs. A lot of my poems are about them. My life as a nurse was a major dream come true. I had a congenital heart defect as a child which also influenced my personality quite a bit. This was the main reason why I wanted to nurse, to help others as I had been helped.

I have a B.S. in Nursing and a few courses toward a Masters. I have travelled quite a bit, to Europe, Mexico and Canada. My life has been exciting, but I don't have too many awards. I do have three wonderful, adult children, and my son is now a published author. That's about it. I think that's quite an achievement.
