Gwynita Leggington has written poetry, short stories and essays, since the age of ten. She knew at a young age that she was destined to become a writer. She published her first essay entitled "America the Beautiful" at the young age of ten, which appeared in a weekly television publication. Throughout the years Gwynita's work has appeared in newspapers, anthologies and on prominent websites. Gwynita is the author of her first poetry book entitled "A Walk In My Shoes." This soulful and creative collection of poetry was released in March of 2007, through Outskirts Press Publishing Company. Gwynita has also written her first screenplay entitled "House of Praise." This screenplay is a faith-based drama, which focuses on real-life obstacles that the protagonist faces, as she sets out to become the first female preacher in her family. Gwynita is a former Freelance Writer for Demand Media Studios, Vast Interactive, Writers Research Group and Associated Content. She also has more than 10 years of valuable work experience in the educational field, as well as Internet technology.
